Google Nexus S Review

Google, in partnership with Samsung Electronics, has announced that the Nexus S will be the first handset in the world that will feature the newest version of the Google Android platform. This one phone will be jam packed with the latest technology in hardware, and powered by Android version 2.3. Even though it hasn’t been said, this particular model is an updated version of Google’s Nexus One that has since been retired.

As an Android smartphone, the Nexus S was designed to deliver the very best in Android experience to consumers, which means that the platform was pushed to extremes to make good on this promise. It is being reported to have advanced functionality which provides amazing user experience. According to the president of the Mobile Communications Business for Samsung, JK Shin, the partnership between Google and his company is bearing “tremendous fruit.”

The processor is a 1 GHZ Samsung application processor, which makes for much improved download and upload times as well as significantly improved 3D graphics. It also supports media content that is quite similar to High Definition in quality. The camera/camcorder in the Nexus S faces the rear but there is also a VGA camera in the front! And for a smooth gaming experience, there is a gyroscope sensor that is activated when the phone is tilted up and down or when panning left and right.

This is just the beginning for the amazing features the Nexus S has to offer which is why many reviewers are proclaiming this Android Smartphone to be one of the Top 5 picks for 2011.
